A Warm Welcome
My name is Charles and I am a professional Celebrant with the World-renowned International College of Professional Celebrants specialising in ceremonies with a Scottish/tartan flavour but open to suggestions for any theme you wish!
The focus of my service is to give you a unique, personalised and professional ceremony, crafted in collaboration with you to reflect the special story that you wish to celebrate.
I encourage you to be imaginative in choosing the various elements of the ceremony including the venue, the readings, the vows and words, entertainment if you wish and what you and I wear.
I qualified through the International College of Professional Celebrants and I’m based in York but happy to travel to the destination of your choice, the more exotic the better.
I was born in the Outer Hebrides and, as a child, lived in Stranraer in the beautiful area of Galloway and in iconic Edinburgh.
Although I have now lived in England for many years, my Scottish heritage runs deep and I have a passion for Scottish culture and traditions.
I was a teacher for nearly 20 years including 3 fascinating years teaching in Beijing in China. This gave me a valuable insight into a colourful culture that is very different from ours and enhanced my appreciation of the value of diversity and inclusion.
In recent years, I was a ghost tour guide in York addressing audiences of up to 150 people of people of all nationalities.
It would give me great pleasure to work with you to find out what your vision is for your perfect ceremony down to the finest details.
